Haven't watch this show in age and only remember little of it, but here I am about to be 26 watching it again thanks to PBS Retro and loving this show more. This show is imaginative and educational too. I like how Levar goes to many different places in the world in while discussing about the books and well as some history

I compare Reading Rainbow and my life in 2014 to my number one favorite Fox movie, The Pagemaster.

The original makes me cry. This one is still nostalgic but doesn't hit as hard.
In elementary school reading rainbow was watched every Friday as part of class it was routine and I loved the show so much. I remember starting 4th grade and Friday came. I heard the theme song in the 3rd grade class across the hall. I jumped up from my seat and interrupted class to let the teacher know it was on cuz I thought she forgot. She looked at me with this mean look and said "Okay? And?" And I said "I wanted to let you know cuz I can hear it in the class next door." And she said very sternly "It's 4th grade and we don't do that anymore." One of the top saddest moments of my life.
The 1983 version of the Reading Rainbow intro along with the animations for that intro are much better. Change my mind!
